Wellness. What is it? If you search for an outside definition you’re likely to find “the active process of becoming aware of and making choices toward a healthy and fulfilling life.” You’ll also likely find the WHO boldly states that wellness is a “complete physical, mental and social well-being and not merely the absence of disease…”
For me, wellness is something more dynamic, a continual process of change and growth.… something you cultivate, like a garden–you prepare the soil, plant the seed, water it, feed it and nurture it to ensure healthy growth.
Cultivating Wellness is Nourish’s renewed focus this year and beginning this month (as February heralds the end of summer holidays for many), I’ll be bringing you tips, ideas, workshops and more to help you cultivate your own wellness—body, mind and soul. It’s about both the journey and the destination!
